I have played millions of hands of twenty-one. I started sneaking into the gambling halls when I was still underage. I have wagered on online 21, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. With all that said I have still spent an abundance of cash at chemin de fer. The gambling halls have made it very hard to beat the house.
I still enjoy the game and wager on a regular basis. Over this time period I have bet on a variation of blackjack called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get flush with this method or beat the casino, still you will have a lot of fun. This method is based on the fact that blackjack seems to be a match of runs. When you are on fire your hot, and when you are not you are NOT!
I wager with basic strategy chemin de fer. When I don’t win I wager the table minimum on the next hand. If I lose again I bet the table minimum on the subsequent hand again etc. Whenever I profit I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the original bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original bet. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I return the bet back down to the original amount.
I am very strict and never "chicken out". It gets extremely enjoyable at times. If you succeed at a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very quickly. Before you know it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had great streaks a number of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Venetian a few years ago with $750 after 60 minutes using this method! And a few days ago in Vegas I left a table with $1200!
You must comprehend that you can lose a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be aghast at the streaks you notice wagering this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a five dollar table.
Bet $5
Take $5 paid to you, leave the initial 5 dollar wager
Wager 5 dollar
Leave five dollar paid to you for a total wager of 10 dollar
Wager 10 dollar
Take 10 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial ten dollar wager
Wager $10
Leave $10 paid to you for a total wager of twenty dollar
Bet twenty dollar
Take $20 paid to you, leave the initial 20 dollar bet
Wager $20
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $40
Bet forty dollar
Take 40 dollar paid to you, leave the initial 40 dollar wager
Bet forty dollar
Leave forty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 80 dollar
Bet $80
Take $80 paid to you, leave the original eighty dollar bet
Wager 80 dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total wager of $160
Bet 160 dollar
Take 160 dollar paid to you, leave the first 160 dollar bet
If you left at this moment you would be up 315 dollar !!
It is herculean to go on a streak this long, but it can happen. And when it does you mustn’t alter and lower your wager or the final result will not be the same.
