Blackjack is a game that reminds me somewhat of a roller coaster. It is a game that starts out slowly, but gradually gets faster. As you grow your bankroll, you feel as though you are making moves to the top of the coaster and then when you least expect it, the bottom drops out.
Blackjack is so remarkably like a roller coaster the similarities are alarming. As with the popular amusement park experience, your black jack game will peak and things will appear to be going great for a time before it bottoms out one more time. You most certainly have to be a gambler that is able to adjust well to the ups and downs of the game especially given that the game of black jack is full of them.
If you like the tiny coaster, one that does not go too high or fast, then bet small. If you find the only way you can enjoy the rollercoaster ride is with a much bigger bet, then hop aboard for the rollercoaster ride of your life on the monster coaster. The deep pocket gambler will love the view from the monster rollercoaster because he/she is not thinking about the drop as they rush hastily to the top of the game.
A win goal and a loss limit works well in black jack, but very few gamblers adhere to it. In black jack, if you "get on the rollercoaster" as it is going up, that’s an awesome feeling, but when the cards "go south" and the coaster starts to twist and turn, you had better bail out in a hurry.
If you do not, you will not naturally recall how much you enjoyed life while your bankroll was "up". The only thing you will remember is a lot of uncertainties, a thrilling ride … your head in the clouds. As you are thinking on "what ifs", you won’t recall how "high up" you went but you will naturally remember that devastating drop as clear as day.
